AsiaTec Inc
AsiaTec was the largest electronics company in Asia before the disaster of 2113. Now they rule all of Asia. However what exactly constitues Asia is debated. AsiaTec claims it includes Hawaii and many of the islands of Oceania. The president of AsiaTec is Emperor of Asia and his Board of Directors are his cabinet ministers. This part of the world is ruled much like a traditional emperorship.
AusCorp Ind
AusCorp was the largest employer in Australia. They set up a form of government in which each division of the company became the nucleus of a tribe. These tribes have various geographical regions under their control and belong to a tribal consortium. Divison heads are the tribe chiefs. Collectively they rule over Australia, nearby islands such as New Zealand and Tazmania, and the islands of Oceania. However AsiaTec contests their claims to the islands closest to Asia.
CyberSys Ltd
CyberSys was a large ISP for Greenland and Iceland. They have a very decentralized government with various factions under the influence of various individuals who work for the company. There are no clear boundries marking their domains so there are frequent "turf battles". CyberSys controls Greenland, Iceland and some small pockets scattered around the world in other companies territories. The most notable is Hawaii which is contested by AsiaTec, AusCorp and GatesWorld.
EuroCom Inc
EuroCom was a large celluar communications network. They are a highly centralized socialistic bureaucracy. They control Europe, the Middle East and Africa with the exception of various pockets of resistance backed by CyberSys. They also have frequent border skirmishes with AsiaTec.
GatesWorld Intl
GatesWorld was a major international corporation with their hands in everything from computer systems to aircraft design. This broad spectrum helped them to carve a large area for themselves. They control all of the Americas from former Canada to former Chile. They have a "democratic" system of government but only a one party system. |
